Sad to hear of Piet's passing .
I will always remember the times i spent on the farm during the school holidays in the 60s and 70s . That's when i learned to have pears with your roast meal ( a dutch thing ) A wonderful man with a wonderful family .
My thoughts are with you all .

Lots of special memories to hold dear of a wonderful man with a wonderful family. Loved the times we had catching up, always a warm welcome, & will especially miss Piet’s big heartfelt handshake. One of life’s true gentlemen. Our deepest sympathy to you all there.

I remember as a boy going to Piet's farm to shoot ducks with my dad - Gerald Gielens. Gerald and Piet had a good dutchie homeland relationship. They respected each other and had a good laugh together. He was a kind and gentle man and always that smile!! Happy memories to all the family and our thoughts are with you at this time.
