Mary Matthews

Matthews,  Mary.   Daughter of the late William and Frances Lobb of Edendale, was born on 16.5.1923 and passed away peacefully at Peacehaven Village on the 18th December 2020. She is an older sister to Maisie (Alfred Aydon) and the late Clara Lobb, husband to the late Roger Matthews and sister-in law to Elizabeth (Betty) (and the late Vincent Steel) and the late Lena (and the late Harry Bedwell), She is survived by her daughter Lilian (Steve Birmingham) and granddaughters Tiana and Kiri Birmingham, along with her nieces and nephews and their families. Mary became a mum to boys she and Roger fostered, especially to Ken (Pauline) Summers and Ian (Marijke) Cuthbertson and a grandma to their families. Her funeral will take place at the Doon Street Seventh Day Adventist Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1pm followed by burial in the Edendale cemetery.
