Dearest Andy
Matthew and I are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Rodger. I will always remember the day he poured me a gin at the Riverton races, so strong, I had to secretly tip it out, and top my glass up with lemonade just look as if I was still enjoying the gin. You are in our thoughts. With Love Matthew, Jane (nee McCrostie) and George Poole xx

Hello Jeanette and family.
We were very sorry to learn of Rodger's passing. The long standing friendship both of you had with our late parents Bill and Nan Ward and the support you gave them was very much appreciated and valued by all of us of the next generation. Some of us have memories of spending time on your farm many years ago as townies being introduced to farming life in its various forms including what happens when chickens lose their heads! Rodger is remembered as a big gruff gentle and generous man who always had time for us.
Our deepest condolences to you Jeanette and your wider family. Rodger will be sorely missed.
