Tonkin, Alwyn Rae (nee Managh): Peacefully after a short illness in the care of her daughters on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill. Treasured mother of Murray and Helen, Lyn and Graham, Pam, David and Jackie, Liz* and Dave. Beloved Nana of her grand, great and great-great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Alwyn’s life will be held at Argyle Cottage Garden, 19 Argyle-Otahuti Road on Wednesday, January 27 at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland can be made at the service. Alwyn was a valued member of our golf club for many years and a much loved friend to many.
Our opening day is Wednesday, so I will be asking everyone to have a minutes silence while we remember Alwyn that day.

I have fond memories of Alwyn in our Probus Choir and church choir. She was a very good alto and we always enjoyed her company. A lovely lady with a sparkle in her eye. She will be sadly missed.
