What a larger than life character Stu was. I loved his zest for life and his wicked sense of humor which at our place meant shaving cream and water fights and I do remember him tipping me upside down and filling my trousers with grass clippings. I also remember joining Jessica's class from Waihopai School for a field trip to the farm and Stu introduced the townies to farm life in his very unique way. He also took Mum and Dad to the run off block up central which mum talks about often with fondness as it was one of the last outings/adventures mum and dad experienced together. Stu was a passionate man of Christ, loving and generous. I will miss you my dear friend. With love and prayers to Ally and family.

My heart felt sympathy to Ali and the family. I can find no words of comfort other than he is now free and safe in the presence of our heavenly father. Will remember this bigger than life God fearing man as the most entertaining while playing tricks on one of his closest friends. So sad for the family having lost this dear wonderful man
May you find comfort in knowing God's timing and ways are perfect.

Dear Ali, Shelley, Kathryn, Michael and Family.

Our sincerest condolences on the passing of a husband, father, grandfather and amazing man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I cannot express how upset I am for you all. There have been many tears from me and Heidi over the past few days. I am so incredibly grateful and blessed to have known your Dad. He provided me with many opportunities whilst growing up and taught me a number of skills. Some of the things I have learned from him, I have passed onto my own boys.

During this time, you will have a chance to cherish the memories that no one else can take away from you. Apart from the tears, I have also have had a few laughs at some of things we got up to in the past. There are so many things to celebrate during these tough times. The coming days will be a chance to celebrate such a wonderful man and the contribution has provided to many. We wish we could be there to celebrate such a gentle, kind-hearted soul. I (Dave) am privileged to have known and worked with Stu and I know how we will all miss him. Focus on celebrating your Dad's amazing things throughout his life (there's a lot to tell 😉).

Much love, Dave, Heidi, Jack and Charlie x

To Ali and family, how well we remember the time Stuart entered Ali's life and she fell madly in love with him! He was one of a kind, a wonderful husband and father, a proud farmer and a devout Christian.
Stuart's great sense of humour suited us Aussies to a tee! Clearly he was a man who would help anyone, an inventor and also a wonderful storyteller! Our love and thoughts are with you Ali, and to Stuart, we have great memories that put a smile on our faces! Rest in peace, mate. XX

We are saddened to hear of Stuart’s passing. Such a generous, beautiful sole with a sense of humour one can never forget. We have so many fond memories of Stu. Will never forget the effort and time he spent erecting a wind break around the hot tub at Mt Benger to protect the visiting Aussies from the icy Otago winds. Thinking of you Ali and the family at this difficult time. Warm regards Roger, Catherine, Alana and Alex. RIP Stuart

Stuart. You were are classic kiwi legend. Best memories were the day you turned up to our place in Auckland ( Unannounced :)! ) As a surprise to race the kids on their kids bikes. They were only 3-6 years old and wondered who this guy was that was challenging them to a race, so was funny to see you riding a kids 12" Bike. You will be missed. But think heaven just became a "funnier" place! (if that is possible).

I'm sure the Suisted family will never forget our South Island trip, especially to the Erskine farm. Stu (and the family) did what he was good at, just loving and welcoming people. The memory of stu on "berts" beach with his snow white legs on display will be a memory/scar that will live on within the Suisteds. We are sad your gone from here, but glad that we know where you are, and that one day we will meet again.
