Wilson, Dallas Wade: Suddenly at Lake Tekapo, on 9 April 2021. Aged 26 years. Dearly loved son of Yvonne and Murray. Best mate of Jaidyn and Tiegan. Best friend and partner of Nicole. Loved grandson of Mick and Joan* Wilson and Keith and Ruby* Butcher. The Funeral Service for Dallas will be held at ILT Stadium Southland on Friday, 16 April, 2021 commencing at 1.00pm followed by a private cremation. Sorry I wasn't brave enough to get up and speak today.
I remember Dallas as a young feller, so keen and excited at duck shooting time at the Thomson farm alongside his partner and crime Jaidyn. Having competitions on who could get the best shot. While dad slept on the couch in the mai mai. Then when the kill was done, seeing the boys elbow deep in duck guts and feathers everywhere. (Thinking to myself yuck as I was just new to this duck shooting tradition). Now I have a 10 year old that has the same passion for this tradition to. Even Teigan managed on one occasion run though from the kitchen to outside vomiting everywhere. I am positive that Thomson Duck lunch was one of Dallas's favorite times of year.
