SOPER Robert Thomas (Bob)

10.11.1938 – 6.05.2021

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 6 May 2021, aged 82 years.

Loved friend and partner of Dorothy Borland.

Loved husband of the late Beverley.

Loved father and father- in-law of Douglas Soper, Carolyn and Owen Evans, Gary and Jan Soper (New Plymouth), Raewyn and Colin Newton (Timaru) and Michael Soper (Twizel).

A loved grandad and great grandad. Loved son of Robert* and Muriel* Soper. Loved brother of Irene and Norman* Becroft (Australia), Phyliss* and Alan* Warden, Hazel and Jim* Chisholm, and Douglas*.

Friend of Leanne and Anau Samuel and Bronwyn and Shane Borland-Folster and families.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service.

A farewell service for Bob will be held on Monday 10th May, 2pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill.

A private cremation will follow.

Bob was agood and respected frriend to me while we worked beside one another at the ICC. much friendly abuse wqs exchanged over the period from the formation of southland Drainage until his rerirement. No more lunch meetings at the IWMC.
