To the family of Doug Brown.

I am very sorry to hear of your dad's passing.
He was my boss when I was a teacher's aid at Norther Southland College during 1970's- 1990's'.
A very kind and understanding man. R.I.P Doug.

Seventy five years ago I remember having a lot of fun with Doug in the orchard next to his home in Earn St. ( I lived over the road at no 201 Earn St). Until he went to Teachers' training college and saw Isobel 'across a crowded room'. We met intermittently over the next years although he did find time to be my best man when I married Margaret at the then Knox Church in Ness St. I was forever grateful that he left the confetti in its box when he broke into my honey moon luggage. It was great he was able to attend our Diamond Wedding anniversary along with Steve and Juliet. Latterly he has been in my thoughts as we both aged and I often felt his presence. Does anyone remember he was on the radio in the Junior Brains Trust? Sincere condolences to the family. I would like to view the funeral on live stream
