I meet Gordon so long ago when as a brand new teacher I joined the staff at Cargill High School.
Gordon along with other teachers welcomed me and made me a part of the family that was the teaching staff at Cargill.
Long talks in the staff room after the students had left allowed one to decompress.
To brainstorm ideas and seek advice.
Being invited into Gordon's to meet Julia home along with Robin, Richie and Jim made settling in so easy.
Even after Cargill was closed and we all went in so many directions, it was the friendships forged then that even now, so many years later, mean that I will miss you Gordon,

I met Gordon through the Journalism programme at SIT in 2011 and I will always remember and cherish the time we spent together. Gordon was an unbelievably kind, generous and funny man with the sharpest wit. Thank you for everything - for encouraging and believing in me during a time of my life at which I was completely unsure of where I was headed. My sincere condolences to Julia.
