Wilson (nee Spriggs) Joan Jeanette: 09-11-1941- 17-12-2021 Passed gently and peacefully in the loving and respectful care of the Longwood Care Home, Riverton. Dearly loved wife, soul mate and friend of the late Ron Wilson for nearly 60 years. Loved only child of the late Naomi and Thomas Spriggs. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Donnah and Norm Cleaver ( Colac Bay), Debbie and Adrian Donnelly (Napier) and Daniel and Kelly Wilson (Invercargill). She was a super proud Nana of Luke and Joshua Tippett, Caitlin and Grace Donnelly and Ella and Camrin Wilson. She adored and loved you all and kept track of your lives and was so proud of your accomplishments. She was a special ‘Great Gran’ to her precious great grandchildren Laurence (LJ) and Henley. Loved, long time companion of little Poppit who she adored. Thank you Sharrie King for 46 years of committed and devoted friendship to mum. You were the baby sister she never had, and words cannot express how much you meant to her and our family. Thank you to the Longwood Care Home for your loving and devoted care of mum over the last year. You all went over and above for mum and we will be forever grateful. To Dr Mike, she thought the world of you, thank you for being such a caring and dedicated doctor over the last year. Mum was certainly surrounded by a team of angels. At the family’s request a private service has been held. Messages to Donnah Cleaver, 7 Drury Street West, Colac Bay, Riverton 9881

Joan was a lovely lady. Being around her and Ron was amazing, the love they had for each other and their family was so very obvious. She was a gentle soul and will be missed by everyone who ever got to meet her. I may not have seen her for many years but she was often in my thoughts.
