So sorry to read of Barbara’s passing. I had the great pleasure of working with her during the late 1990s at West Gore School - she was so much fun and always ready to cause a bit of mischief with that twinkle in her eye! We always had a great time when she was around and we knew the kiddies were in good hands while Barbara was running the class. Deepest condolences to you all.

Hi Grandma I know you can't read this nor will you understand if someone else reads this to you. (I text this to her just a day before she passed away)
But I had a few things I wanted to say regardless of whether anyone actually reads this (to you) or not.
I love you.
I will miss you but I know that I will see you again. I have that hope to hold onto and I praise God for that.
Im so thankful for many things and I have so many memories with you that are full of love.
You have always had time for me growing up and I really appreciate that.
The time spent doing art.
The time just playing or reading at your house and the trips to the Warehouse.
But mostly I have so many memories of your hug, your hug where to even start;
your hug is safe, your hug is warm, your hug is strong, your hug says I love you, your hug says I'm here for you, your hug says I have time for you. And many more things.
Your kisses so full of love.
Your skin so soft, always so soft.
Your cabbage always over cooked!
Your recipes always made up!
Your baking never what you call it! An apple crumble that doesn't have apples in it! Pineapple instead but to you it was still called an apple crumble!
And never remembering the nice tasting ones only the bad ones!
Your fridge covered with your photo trophies: your family, splattered everywhere in a range of old to new photos but all full of people you love.
Thank you for being the Mum that you are, you gave birth to many beautiful children and I'm so thankful to God for each and everyone of them.
I love you so much Grandma,
Till we meet again.
Sarah.

Sorry to learn of Barbara’s passing. I met Barbara when we were both attending. Art for Leisure classes at SIT Gore. She was a lovely lady & I so enjoyed my association with her. We had lots of laughs over the years & I found her a kind, gentle lady. I know she will be missed by both family & friends but you will have lots of memories to hold close. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Barbara, I was most blessed to always bump into you in so many places starting when I was just a young girl. You made a huge impact and your sweet caring and cheeky manner will never ever be forgotten. Thinking of all your beautiful family ❤️ I bet you and hubby will be having a blast x
