Suddenly and unexpectedly with Val by his side. Thoughts with you Val at this time. Bob was so good to work with at the Southland Times and had such a great humour.
Gaye Turner, Te Anau
Bob was a fantastic guy to work with at the "Times", lots of humour. I was talking to Bob only recently at the Times wall signing in Esk St.
Pete Stewart, Invercargill
Worked with Bob at Smith Print in Esk St. He was a great bloke, remember his broad Irish accent, his wicked sense of humour, and his willingness to help you in any way he could.
RIP Bob
Michael Burke, Gosford Australia
Rest well Uncle Robert. It was always lovely to have you home. I so loved those stories you used to recount about old Garvagh and old Mettican. A lovely man, very much missed here in Northern Ireland. Gd bless. David

Didn't get to meet you. But traced the family to N Ireland. Met my birth mother your sister Iris. Aunt Margaret made me so so so welcome. Sarah made the effort and took time to meet me in Manchester. Your daughter and my true cousin there was an instant connection. I am privileged and proud to be a member of the family. RIP My thoughts are with your wonderful family today. Give Mum a kiss from me when you get there XXX
Judith Louise Jacques, Manchester
Bob would have loved this service. Many kind words spoken to remember one very kind man. May he now ride away in his favourite classic car ... as fast as he wants on the cosmic highway! May the gentle Unicorn join him and lead him peacefully into the great beyond. [Inspired song choice as Bob is carried away.x] Much love to Aunty Val, Gaylene (Niece)
