COLIN GORDON FLEURY
Another branch has fallen
From the so-called tree of life
A man who I respected
No more worries no more strife

Many games of bowls
We trundled on many greens
Pairs triples and fours
Great times and with great teams

He always loved a double gin
To wash away the dust
At the after match was over
Win draw lose or bust

We teamed up to play
In the South Island pairs
Where we made the last sixteen
Going back many years

Rest in Peace my friend
Now in another place
Be teaching all the game of bowls
Above the clouds in space
