To Walter and family. So sorry to hear of Joy's death. You certainly had a wonderful wife, mum and friend. Sorry I won't be able to be at her farewell. I have lovely memories of many years of good times at Splash Palace with Joy who was a friend to all.

We are very sorry to hear of Joys passing. We have great memories of Joy and Walters kindness to our family when I lived in Whataroa.I so enjoyed taking your calves to the pet show so many years ago.
It was fantastic that you were both able to visit our farm in Southland when we lived there.

I feel so privileged to say that Joy was my friend. We had great times together at the pool and having coffee. We talked , we laughed and we enjoyed each other’s company. We were always talking about our families and the love and delight that they brought to our lives.
JOY means - great happiness, someone greatly valued or appreciated and to be glad and rejoice - well that name is truly fitting for you, my friend ! You certainly brought JOY to my life and I will miss you terribly.
Rest well and in peace Joy. And as you would always say “ Bless you”
Arohanui Walter & whanau ❤️ May you surrounded by love and may Joy’s spirit and values live on in each of you xxxxx
