DUTT, Phyllis Lana ( Lana) ( nee Lawton) On Saturday May 14, 2022 at Bupa Care Home in Riverton. After a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Loved mother of Asha and friend of Mayor Tim. Loved grandmother of Declan. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Evan and Lynn Lawton ( Queenstown.) Loved daughter of the late Esmè and Noel Lawton. Aged 75 years. A sincere thank you to Dianne and the staff of Bupa Longwood who have cared for Lana with such kindness for the past 20 years. Join the family to farewell Lana at J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 11 am, on Wednesday May 18. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. Deepest sympathies to Asha,Tim and Declan. Way back in the mid nineties I had the pleasure of visits to Phyllis at her home in Invercargill, as the Multiple Sclerosis social worker. She was a very humble lady, who never complained. Asha and Tim you were very supportive and caring for Phyllis. The trips up to Queenstown some weekends, she obviously loved. Thinking of you all with love and prayers.😘

I had the pleasure of being a caregiver at Riverton when Lana first arrived and help care for her up to 8 eight years ago when I retired. She was a gracious lady who did not complain and accepted what life had to offer. You will be at peace now after a very long journey.
