McDonald Chris: (Formerly of Lora Gorge). Very much loved and respected husband of the late Wynnis. It’s with much sadness and love that David, Dee, Kirsty, Aaron and Oliver had to say good bye to Dad on Monday, 18th July, 2022. He passed away peacefully at home with us by his side. He was a respected brother, uncle, and friend of many. At Dad’s request we have held a private ceremony. “ It’s now time to hang up your cap and put the top on the Gin bottle “ R.I.P. now Pop. Another great Totara has fallen. My sincerest condolences to the family on the passing of Chris. He was one of the good buggers. I've got many precious memories of Chris mostly up the Hunter fishing but also on the farm in the Lora Gorge. He had a great sense of humour and loved the simple but fun aspects of getting away from it all. He looked after us young fellas well but showed no mercy around the card table. If there is such a thing as the afterlife I can assure you that the top will be back off the gin bottle. Jimmy Gilbert, Doug Robinson and others will have the cards delt and the fishing lines ready. Rest in peace.
