The great man of the valley has fallen. Ian respected and valued his friendship. I admired his blunt honesty and enjoyed listening to his tales, what a life he lead. He will be missed, my love to dear Fay and family. I will be with you in spirit at the farewell.
Trish Shaw, Dunedin
