Kia ora koutou, I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Podge when I started my journalism career in Gore. A hard-case, sociable guy, he was also a committed journalist and gave me plenty of great advice I carried with me through my career. I will always remember the Wednesday night league cricket nights especially. Sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to the whanau. Rest in Peace Podge.
