Tom and Carolyn became good friends through our membership at Windsor Presbyterian church. We know that Tom missed Carolyn very much when she sadly became ill and died after a brave fight with cancer. Tom was a true gentleman, willing to help in many ways with tasks connected to our church family, he was easy to converse with and we always enjoyed his company. He had some health problems but always made light of them, enjoyed life to the full and we know he will be very much missed by friends and family. We send our deepest sympathy to his family.

We are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We go back a long way to Henderson days when we were neighbours and school friends. Great childhood memories of fun in the outdoors, eeling in the creek, pinching grapes and tamarillos over our back fences, making huts.... and mischief. We were honoured to have you as our best man at our wedding in 1967. And privileged to be your best man at Marton when you married Caroline, your soulmate .Then helping each other with working bees in our new homes in Massey.
We will miss you Old friend. R I P.

We are saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend Tom. Tom and Carolyn have been our best friends for over 40 years since we were neighbours in Massey, Auckland. Our two children grew up with their boys, Aaron and Daryl and we spent many a great time together. We remained best friends even though Tom and Carolyn moved away to start a new life in Invercargill, a change which they embraced. Tom had a great sense of humor, welcomed us warmly whenever we phoned or visited and always asked after our son Chris and our daughter Paula to find out how they were going in their lives. I will miss his friendship, humour and the engaging conversations in the phone calls I made to Tom to check if he was going okay, as I knew he missed Carolyn terribly. We will always remember you as the special person you are.
Rest in peace Tom and Love to the boys and all the family from Bryan, Josie, Chris and Paula (Newstat) Little. xxooxx

We admired Tom strength and courage and kind-hearted nature. He gave his all to his family and friends. Tom had a great sense of humour and was always there with his quiet strength behind the scenes.
Caroline and Tom took us all in as part of their family and we will be forever grateful for their love.
Rest In Peace, we are thinking of Tom and Caroline being together again. ❤️

We had the privilege of getting to know Tom & Carolyn while pastoring at Otatara Community Church. A gentle, generous and supportive Christian man who always showed an interest in others and lived by the mantra. "Treat others as you would like to be treated". We give thanks to Tom & Carolyn for especially being special friends to our daughter Anna. Love and sympathy, Julianne and Stephen.

I was devastated to hear of your loss Tom, knowing you from when I first started at Mitre 10, and later on at M10 Mega, you were always such a hardworking, passionate and funny guy. I really looked up to you, and I often think of you when I reflect on why I love my job so much now. Loved seeing you with your vists from time to time after you retired, and learning you and I had a similair musical taste by what you'd share on Facebook. I really hope that you are happy now with Carolyn, you deserve to be. And you will certainly never be forgotton. xxoo
