Hi. I have fond memories of Russell when we sat next to each other in Form 2 at Tweedsmuir Intermediate school in I think 1950. We both followed on to the Southland Technical College but Russell took an engineering course. We lost touch after and I moved away from the south but Russell was a wonderful guy, loyal, trustworthy, and fun to hang out with. I remember him with great affection. My sympathy goes out to all the family. He will be a loss and mist by all.

To all the Mc Neill Clan, our deepest sympathy goes out to you on the loss of Russell. Now that he is on his next journey, I would like to say what
he meant to me as a young man working on the poultry farm, he wasn't just a boss but a mentor, a friend, someone to have a beer with at the end of a hard day. Grounding me with good work ethics and the knowledge that what you put in is what you get out. even thou contact in recent years has been few and far apart doesn't mean that the respect and love diminishes. And I know that we will meet again one day.
Love always Steve , Lisa and Isabella Buchanan xox

We will always remember and admire Russell for the wisdom and good nature that he shared. He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed.

Our condolences to the family.

To Beth and family,
Please accept my condolences at the loss of a loved family member. The McNeill name will always hold a special place in our hearts with the knowledge that Russell knew my Dad through poultry farming connections. It has been such a treat to get to know you Beth during our Inner Wheel years in the same district. Please accept our sympathy from myself and my sisters.
Kind regards. Christina King
